Quotes

Forgotten where I saw this or who said it but it just came to mind now:

"Failure to stand for what is morally right is the prelude to being the victim of what is criminally wrong".

So, I decided to look through some of the quotes I've jotted down over the years. Trying to find some to bolster my courage for what I'm about to do tomorrow.

"In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing."
------------- Theodore Roosevelt

“Whether you think you can
or think you can't --
you are right.” ------------- Henry Ford

"Ideals are like stars; you will not succeed in touching them with your hands, but like the seafaring man on the desert of waters, you choose them as your guides, and following them, you reach your destiny". ------ Carl Schurz

"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great".
------- Mark Twain

"Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear".
--------- Mark Twain

"If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all".
----------- Anna Quindlen

"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony".
----------- Mahatma Gandhi

"There are risks and costs to a program of action. But they are far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction" ------ John F. Kennedy
